Bharat Swabhiman Nyas, Patanjali Yoga Samiti, and various yoga-related organizations are conducting awareness campaigns from urban centers to remote rural areas to encourage public participation in the global event.
As part of these efforts, a district-level meeting of Bharat Swabhiman Nyas was organized on June 11 to finalize the framework and schedule of activities planned for the occasion.
Focus on Healthy and Disciplined Living
During the meeting, participants emphasized that yoga is not merely a form of physical exercise but the foundation of a healthy, balanced, and disciplined lifestyle. Special emphasis was placed on connecting more people with yoga and spreading awareness about its long-term benefits.

The theme for this year’s International Yoga Day is “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” In line with this theme, a variety of special activities are being conducted throughout the district.

Yoga Day as a People’s Movement

He noted that every year a large number of people participate in Yoga Day programs in Rajnandgaon and that volunteers are working continuously to ensure even greater public participation this year.
According to him, workers of Patanjali Yoga Samiti and Bharat Swabhiman Nyas have been conducting yoga sessions for several weeks in various wards, gram panchayats, and institutions across the district.
Volunteers Play Key Role in Outreach
Tiwari further stated that the Patanjali Family plays an important role in many major public events in the district. The successful organization of such large-scale programs is made possible through the collective efforts of yoga instructors, volunteers, and members associated with the movement.
The meeting was attended by Hemant Tiwari, Panchram Sahu, Manoj Laddha, Kaushal Sahu, Dilip Kumar Ram, Dharmendra Sahu, Sonu Sharma, Saurabh Sharma, D.N. Chandrakar, and several other volunteers and office-bearers.
Commitment to Reach Every Village and Ward
