सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल दावों का खुलासा, सरकार और RBI ने साफ किया – कोई योजना नहीं, पुराने नोट वैध रहेंगे

पिछले कुछ हफ्तों से सोशल मीडिया, व्हाट्सएप ग्रुप्स और यूट्यूब चैनलों पर दो बड़ी अफवाहें तेजी से फैल रही हैं। पहली अफवाह यह कि भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) मार्च 2026 तक ₹500 के नोट बंद कर देगा और एटीएम से ये नोट निकलना बंद हो जाएंगे। दूसरी अफवाह यह कि 30 जून 2026 से पेपर नोट्स बंद होकर प्लास्टिक कोटेड (पॉलिमर) नोट्स आ जाएंगे। इन दावों ने आम लोगों में काफी चिंता पैदा कर दी है। लेकिन प्रेस इंफॉर्मेशन ब्यूरो (PIB) की फैक्ट चेक यूनिट और RBI ने दोनों अफवाहों को पूरी तरह फर्जी बताते हुए खारिज कर दिया है।

PIB Fact Check का आधिकारिक बयान

PIB Fact Check ने X (पूर्व ट्विटर) पर स्पष्ट पोस्ट करते हुए कहा कि “RBI ने ₹500 नोटों को बंद करने या प्लास्टिक नोट्स से पेपर नोट्स बदलने का कोई ऐलान नहीं किया है।” दोनों दावे गलत और भ्रामक हैं। ₹500 के नोट अभी भी पूरी तरह लीगल टेंडर हैं और इनका सामान्य लेन-देन में इस्तेमाल बिना किसी रोक-टोक के जारी रहेगा। PIB ने लोगों से अपील की है कि ऐसी वायरल खबरों पर भरोसा न करें और हमेशा आधिकारिक स्रोतों से पुष्टि करें।

₹500 नोट बंद होने की अफवाह की सच्चाई

कई यूट्यूब चैनलों (जैसे Capital TV) ने दावा किया कि मार्च 2026 तक ₹500 नोट प्रचलन से हटा दिए जाएंगे। लेकिन RBI और सरकार ने संसद में भी स्पष्ट जवाब दिया है कि ₹500 नोटों की सप्लाई बंद करने का कोई प्रस्ताव नहीं है। RBI ने बैंकों को एटीएम में ₹100 और ₹200 नोट ज्यादा मात्रा में डिस्पेंस करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया है, ताकि छोटे-छोटे लेन-देन आसान हों। इसका मतलब यह बिल्कुल नहीं है कि ₹500 नोट बंद हो रहे हैं। एटीएम में ₹500 नोटों के साथ छोटे नोट भी जारी रहेंगे।महात्मा गांधी न्यू सीरीज के ₹500 नोट अभी भी उपलब्ध हैं और इनमें बेहतर सुरक्षा फीचर्स हैं। 2016 की नोटबंदी के बाद से ऐसी अफवाहें बार-बार आती रही हैं, लेकिन हर बार आधिकारिक तौर पर इन्हें खारिज किया गया है।

प्लास्टिक कोटेड (पॉलिमर) नोट्स की वास्तविक स्थिति

हाल ही में RBI गवर्नर संजय मल्होत्रा ने मॉनेटरी पॉलिसी कमिटी (MPC) मीटिंग के बाद कहा कि पॉलिमर नोट्स का प्रस्ताव विचाराधीन है। यह दस साल पुरानी चर्चा को फिर से शुरू किया गया है। कारण यह है कि पेपर नोट्स जल्दी गंदे और फट जाते हैं, खासकर ₹10 और ₹20 वाले। RBI हर साल अरबों नोट्स नष्ट करता है और प्रिंटिंग पर भारी खर्च होता है।महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य:

  • प्रस्ताव प्रारंभिक चरण में है, कोई फाइनल निर्णय नहीं लिया गया।
  • पायलट प्रोजेक्ट की बात चल रही है, मुख्य रूप से छोटे नोट्स (₹10-₹20) पर।
  • पुराने पेपर नोट्स बंद या वापस नहीं लिए जाएंगे। कोई जबरन बदलाव या 2016 जैसी नोटबंदी नहीं होगी।
  • PIB ने साफ किया कि 30 जून 2026 तक पेपर नोट्स को प्लास्टिक से बदलने का कोई प्लान नहीं है।

पॉलिमर नोट्स ज्यादा टिकाऊ, पानी-प्रतिरोधी, फॉर्जरी-रोधी और लंबे समय तक चलने वाले होते हैं। ऑस्ट्रेलिया, कनाडा, यूके जैसे देशों में इनका सफलतापूर्वक इस्तेमाल हो रहा है। भारत में अगर लागू होता है तो यह धीरे-धीरे होगा और लोगों को पर्याप्त समय दिया जाएगा।

क्यों फैल रही हैं ये अफवाहें?

सोशल मीडिया का क्लिकबेट कल्चर, सनसनीखेज वीडियो टाइटल्स और 2016 की नोटबंदी की याद इन अफवाहों को हवा दे रही है। कुछ चैनल व्यूज के लिए गलत जानकारी फैला रहे हैं। लोग छोटी-छोटी चर्चाओं को तोड़-मरोड़कर पेश कर देते हैं, जिससे गलतफहमी फैलती है।
विशेषज्ञों और अधिकारियों की सलाह: हमेशा RBI की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट (rbi.org.in), PIB Fact Check, Finance Ministry या आधिकारिक अधिसूचनाओं पर भरोसा करें। किसी भी वायरल न्यूज को शेयर करने से पहले दो-तीन बार जांच लें। फेक न्यूज न सिर्फ चिंता पैदा करती है बल्कि अर्थव्यवस्था और जनता के विश्वास को भी नुकसान पहुंचाती है।

RBI की वर्तमान करेंसी नीति

RBI करेंसी नोटों की सप्लाई, गुणवत्ता और सुरक्षा लगातार सुधार रहा है। Mahatma Gandhi Series के नोट उपलब्ध हैं और कोई बड़ा बदलाव हो तो RBI खुद सार्वजनिक रूप से घोषणा करेगा। अभी ₹500 नोट पूरी तरह सुरक्षित और वैध हैं। पॉलिमर नोट्स पर चर्चा भविष्य की तैयारी है, न कि तत्काल बदलाव।
