Collector Jitendra Yadav’s style of working has changed the face of Rajnandgaon; Khaira becomes the country’s first 100% solar energy village

Rajnandgaon district’s Khaira village has emerged as the country’s first 100% solar-powered village, with rooftop solar systems installed in all 141 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. The village now has a total solar power generation capacity of approximately 282 kW. The achievement highlights Collector Jitendra Yadav’s administrative approach, which also focuses on transparent paddy procurement, action against illegal paddy transportation, timely resolution of revenue matters and savings of government funds.
