District Cooperative Central Bank Rajnandgaon held its 49th Annual General Meeting with representatives of 356 cooperative societies. Chairman Sachin Baghel launched the IMPS facility, enabling nearly 4 lakh customers to benefit from instant fund transfers and improved digital banking services.

A Surya Sabha was organised in Keshotola village of Chhuriya block to promote the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. After losing his hearing at around one-and-a-half years of age, he underwent a successful cochlear implant operation at AIIMS. Following the surgery, he is receiving speech and hearing therapy at a Regional Rehabilitation Centre.

Shubham Vaishnav of Bhathagaon village met Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker and Rajnandgaon MLA Dr Raman Singh over the stalled construction of the Gathula–Bhedikala–Bhathagaon main road. The Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation (RMC) has continued its anti-encroachment campaign by removing illegal structures and roadside obstructions in Nandai and Takapara. The civic body said the drive aims to improve traffic movement and ensure smooth rainwater drainage during the monsoon.

Rajnandgaon MP Santosh Pandey met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to discuss road infrastructure projects in the parliamentary constituency. The Congress, led by Dongargarh MLA Harshita Baghel, staged a road blockade in Thelkadih of Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district on Thursday, demanding approval for a separate college building. The protest was called off after administrative officials assured the demonstrators that the matter would be taken up with the government.
