Weekly Time-Limit Meeting Reviews Government Schemes, Kwar Navratri Preparations, Paddy Procurement Infrastructure and PM Surya Ghar Progress

Collector Jitendra Yadav reviewed the progress of priority government schemes and development works during the weekly time-limit meeting held in Rajnandgaon on Tuesday.
He directed officials to ensure effective implementation of schemes and timely delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries. He also instructed departments to dispose of pending applications and cases within the prescribed time limit and ensure quality in construction works.
10 Lakh Munga Saplings to Be Planted
The Collector informed officials that a target has been set to plant 10 lakh Munga saplings in the district under the Har Ghar Munga–Ghar-Ghar Munga plantation campaign.
He directed officials to complete all necessary preparations for the campaign and particularly emphasised plantation around Anganwadi centres and schools, so that children can benefit from awareness of its nutritional value.
PM Surya Ghar Scheme Reviewed
The Collector directed officials to accelerate the processing of applications received under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
He instructed the concerned banks to speed up processing and directed the Electricity Department to facilitate necessary documentation, including updating name changes in electricity meters, so that eligible applicants can receive the benefits of the scheme without delay.
The district has so far received 14,102 applications under the scheme, while 6,787 beneficiaries have already received benefits.
Yadav also directed officials to encourage industries and rice millers operating in the district to install solar panels. He called for awareness camps in housing societies in urban areas to encourage residents to adopt solar energy.
Preparations for Kwar Navratri Fair Reviewed
The Collector also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Kwar Navratri fair in Dongargarh.
He directed officials to ensure proper cleanliness and adequate lighting along pedestrian routes and to deploy health teams at service pandals for the convenience of pilgrims.
The CREDA department was instructed to inspect all solar lights installed along pedestrian routes and ensure that they are operational, particularly to prevent inconvenience to pilgrims during night-time travel.
The Collector further directed regular inspections of food shops and establishments during the Navratri festival. He said strict action should be taken immediately if adulterated food or products past their expiry date are found.
He emphasised regular monitoring of food quality with the health and safety of citizens in mind.

Focus on Quality of Development Works
The Collector instructed officials to ensure quality implementation under the VBG Ram Ji Yojana, stressing that there should be no negligence in construction quality.
He directed that proper estimates be prepared and construction carried out according to prescribed standards.
Officials were also instructed to accelerate the construction of houses being built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Paddy Procurement Arrangements Reviewed
Yadav directed that construction of approved platforms at procurement societies be completed at the earliest before the commencement of paddy procurement.
He stressed that farmers should not face any inconvenience during the procurement process.
The Agriculture, Horticulture and Fisheries departments were also directed to take necessary action to issue Kisan Credit Cards to the remaining eligible farmers.
Review of Public Grievance Applications
CEO, District Panchayat, Durga Prasad Adhikari reviewed applications received through CM Jan Darshan, CM Helpline, PG Portal and Collector Jan Darshan department-wise.
He directed all heads of departments to ensure that the applications received are resolved within the prescribed time limit.
Additional Collector C.L. Markandey and district-level officers were present during the meeting.
