G.R. Markam has assumed charge as the new Commissioner of the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation. Rajnandgaon Administration Seizes Illegal Paddy Worth ₹20 Lakh in a Single Day; Total Seizures Cross ₹5.46 Crore in Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26

Acting on the directives of Collector Jitendra Yadav, the Rajnandgaon district administration has intensified its crackdown on illegal paddy procurement. On 3 December, joint teams seized 649.60 quintals of illegal paddy worth ₹20.13 lakh across six cases. With this, total seizures during the Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26 have risen to 17,621.86 quintals valued at over ₹5.46 crore, along with eight vehicles. Officials have warned that repeat offenders and middlemen may soon face criminal cases.
