Reviews Grey Water Treatment Plant, Rural Industrial Park and Atal Digital Service Centre; Promotes PM Surya Ghar Scheme in Village Meetings

Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav conducted an extensive inspection of development projects in villages under Dongargarh block on Wednesday, reviewing the Grey Water Treatment Plant at Belgaon, the Rural Industrial Park at Kalkasa, and the Atal Digital Service Centre at Musrakala. During the visit, he also participated in PM Surya Sabha awareness programmes in Belgaon and Musrakala to promote the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
Collector Promotes PM Surya Ghar Scheme in Belgaon
During his inspection of the Grey Water Treatment Plant at Belgaon, the Collector directed officials to ensure regular cleaning of nearby drains to improve sanitation.
Later, he attended a PM Surya Sabha organised under a banyan tree in the village, where he encouraged residents to avail themselves of the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

He said the scheme not only helps reduce electricity bills but also enables households to generate electricity. The Collector also directed officials to provide free transport passes to students who secured positions in the merit list.
Plastic Waste Management and Peanut Butter Unit Reviewed at Kalkasa
At Kalkasa Rural Industrial Park, the Collector reviewed the Plastic Waste Management Unit and instructed officials to make it operational at the earliest.
He also directed that an unused spice processing machine be handed over to a self-help group for productive use.
Inspecting the Peanut Butter Production Unit, Yadav interacted with women members of self-help groups, reviewed their earnings and instructed officials to facilitate higher honorarium support. He also visited the Utensil Manufacturing Unit and planted a sapling on the premises.
Musrakala Residents Share Benefits of Rooftop Solar Scheme
The Collector later attended another PM Surya Sabha in Musrakala, where he urged villagers to enrol under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
During the interaction, villagers informed him that 39 households in the village had already installed rooftop solar panels under the scheme.
Beneficiary Anju Agrawal shared her experience, stating that her monthly electricity bill, which earlier amounted to ₹3,000, had now reduced to zero after the installation of the solar system.
The Collector also directed officials to operationalise the Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant at the earliest.
Inspection of Atal Digital Service Centre and Pond Beautification
Yadav inspected the Atal Digital Service Centre in Musrakala and interacted with its operators regarding the services being provided. He reviewed the range of digital public services available at the centre.

During the visit, he directed officials to provide a battery-operated tricycle to Jairam Yadav, a specially-abled beneficiary from Chhipa village.
The Collector also reviewed the ongoing pond beautification project and instructed officials to undertake plantation, install swings, develop a garden and construct a cement concrete walking track to facilitate morning walks for villagers.
Drone-Based Nano DAP Spraying Demonstrated
In Kurrubhant village, the Collector reviewed the spraying of Nano DAP using drones.
He said drone-based application of Nano DAP helps save both time and cost and encouraged farmers to adopt the technology for improved agricultural practices.
The visit was attended by District Panchayat CEO Durga Prasad Adhikari, Dongargarh SDM Vishwas Kumar, Janpad Panchayat CEO Bhagwati Sahu, along with other officials and local residents.
