Rajnandgaon district has secured a leading position in grievance redressal under the CM Helpline, Collector Jitendra Yadav said while reviewing the weekly progress of government schemes. He directed officials to expedite Agristack claims, ensure adequate availability of fertilisers and seeds for farmers, take strict action against dairy analog products, and accelerate implementation of health and welfare schemes.

Dongargaon entrepreneur Raman Nahata has reduced his household electricity bill to nearly zero under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana by installing a 3 kW rooftop solar system. The solar installation also powers his electric vehicle, while his experience has encouraged others in the community to adopt clean energy solutions.

The Sahu family of Gathula village in Rajnandgaon has reduced its electricity bill to nearly zero after installing two 3 kW rooftop solar plants under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. With government subsidies and net metering benefits, the family has also created the potential for additional income through clean energy generation.

The Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is helping consumers reduce electricity expenses while promoting clean energy adoption. Rajnandgaon resident and Energy Department representative Rupchand Bhimanani reported significant savings after installing a 3-kW rooftop solar plant, calling the initiative a visionary step toward energy self-reliance and environmental sustainability.

A district-level Mission LiFE training programme was organized in Rajnandgaon under the chairmanship of Collector Jitendra Yadav, focusing on clean energy adoption, environmental conservation, and sustainable lifestyles. Officials from various departments were instructed to intensify awareness campaigns related to the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and renewable energy initiatives across the district.

Mohla Collector Tulika Prajapati reviewed the progress of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, expressed concern over slow implementation, and directed officials to boost awareness, speed up registrations, and ensure timely solar rooftop installations.

As part of a special revenue recovery अभियान, the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited recovered ₹48.39 lakh from 279 defaulting consumers in Rajnandgaon city, while disconnecting 373 power connections for non-payment of dues.
