Young Yaakshi Pal of Boirdih village in Rajnandgaon has moved from Severe Acute Malnutrition to the normal nutrition category through regular monitoring, nutritional counselling, supplementary food and active family participation.

Three members of the same family from Gahirabhedi were killed in a tragic road accident on the Shikarimahka-Bholapur road. Sitting MLA Bholaram Sahu and former MLA Chhanni Sahu paid tributes and attended the funeral.

After losing his hearing at around one-and-a-half years of age, he underwent a successful cochlear implant operation at AIIMS. Following the surgery, he is receiving speech and hearing therapy at a Regional Rehabilitation Centre.

Shubham Vaishnav of Bhathagaon village met Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker and Rajnandgaon MLA Dr Raman Singh over the stalled construction of the Gathula–Bhedikala–Bhathagaon main road. The Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation (RMC) has continued its anti-encroachment campaign by removing illegal structures and roadside obstructions in Nandai and Takapara. The civic body said the drive aims to improve traffic movement and ensure smooth rainwater drainage during the monsoon.
