Students Shape the Dream of a Developed India Through Paintings, Essays and Creative Expressions

School Education Minister and Rajnandgaon district in-charge Minister Gajendra Yadav participated in the district-level painting and essay competition organised under the “Mere Sapno Ka Bharat” initiative as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Dr. Baldev Prasad Mishra Government Higher Secondary School, Basantpur, Rajnandgaon.
The programme provided students an opportunity to express their vision of India through paintings, drawings, posters and essays, reflecting their imagination of the country in 2014, the present and the envisioned developed India of 2047.
Development Works Announced for Schools
During the programme, Minister Gajendra Yadav announced the provision of funds for the repair of the auditorium at Dr. Baldev Prasad Mishra Government Higher Secondary School, Basantpur.
He also announced the construction of separate toilets for boys and girls and five additional classrooms at the school. Funds were also announced for development-related works at schools in Pendri, Mohara, Shankarpur and other locations.

An exhibition of drawings and posters prepared by selected students from all development blocks of the district was also organised. Selected students from the development blocks participated in the speech competition as well.
Minister Gajendra Yadav presented mementoes and certificates of appreciation to the winning participants and encouraged them for their performance.
Children’s Imagination Reflects the Foundation of Developed India
Congratulating and extending his best wishes to all students who participated in the competitions, Minister Gajendra Yadav said that the strong foundation of a developed India can be seen in the dreams and imagination of children.
He said the “Mere Sapno Ka Bharat” initiative gave students an opportunity to express their vision of India in 2014, present-day India and the developed India envisioned for 2047 through drawings, paintings and essays.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047, the minister said that today’s students would play an important role in turning this vision into reality in the coming years.
He highlighted initiatives such as Vocal for Local and Make in India, saying that these efforts encourage manufacturing and self-reliance in the country. He urged students to take pride in the resources, art, skills and products available at the national, state and local levels.
Focus on Local Art, Swadeshi Products and Social Responsibility
Referring to Chhattisgarh’s traditional art and local handicrafts, Minister Yadav said that promoting rich traditions and local skills is an important step towards self-reliance.
He appealed to students to adopt indigenous products and actively participate in social causes such as de-addiction and cleanliness.
MP Santosh Pandey Praises Students’ Creativity
MP Santosh Pandey appreciated the talent and creative presentations of the students and said that providing children with encouragement and an appropriate platform gives a new direction to their confidence.
He congratulated the students who performed exceptionally well in the competitions, along with their teachers and parents. He said that even a small achievement can inspire children to move forward and strive for greater accomplishments.
Pandey described Rajnandgaon as a land of talent and noted the achievements of district players in sports such as hockey, kabaddi and weightlifting.

He also stressed the importance of developing courage, sensitivity and a sense of national interest among students alongside talent. According to him, inspiring incidents that demonstrate courage and humanity during difficult circumstances can make young people more aware of their responsibilities.
Youth to Play Key Role in Developed India
Pandey said that any work carried out with a larger purpose and positive thinking, rather than merely as a responsibility, can have a wider impact.
Referring to the completion of 100 years of Independence in 2047, he said that young people would have an important role in building a developed India.
He said students can contribute to taking the country to new heights in defence, the economy, agriculture, science and other fields by moving forward with education, art, skills, hard work and a sense of nationalism.

Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Chairman Neelu Sharma, Chhattisgarh Labour Welfare Board Chairman Yogesh Dutt Mishra, Zila Panchayat President Kiran Vaishnav, Zila Panchayat Vice-President Kiran Sahu, Khubchand Parakh, Komal Singh Rajput, former MLA Vinod Khandekar, Bharat Verma, MD Thakur, Rajendra Golchha, District Education Officer Pravas Singh Baghel, along with public representatives, officials of the Education Department and district administration, teachers and students from various schools were present at the programme.
