The film Dhurandhar 2 is rewriting box office history with its unprecedented success, drawing massive crowds not only across India but also in international markets. The film has reportedly surpassed benchmarks set by blockbuster titles like Baahubali, establishing itself as one of the biggest cinematic successes in recent times.
Released in multiple languages, the film has garnered overwhelming appreciation from audiences across all sections. Its compelling narrative and impactful presentation have sparked widespread discussion, with viewers praising it for addressing social and political themes while maintaining strong entertainment value.

In Rajnandgaon, the craze surrounding the film has reached extraordinary levels. All screens at Mandi Mall are running housefull, with an estimated combined seating capacity of around 500 viewers. Advance bookings are reportedly filling up rapidly, often leaving little to no availability for spot ticket buyers.
Adding to the excitement, three new silver screens were recently inaugurated in the city on March 19, coinciding with the beginning of Navratri. Developed by local businessman Sanjay Maheshwari, the multiplex—located near Nandai Chowk on Mohara Road—offers modern, high-end facilities comparable to premium urban theatres. Interestingly, the launch was carried out without major publicity, yet all shows have been running at full capacity since day one.
According to theatre operator Avant Agrawal, the response to the film has been phenomenal, with tickets often sold out in advance. “The level of excitement among viewers is extraordinary. In many cases, audiences are unable to secure tickets due to overwhelming demand,” he noted.

The film’s success is also being linked to strong contributions from smaller cities like Rajnandgaon. Drawing a parallel to the legendary tale of the squirrel’s contribution in the Ram Setu, locals describe their role as modest yet meaningful in the film’s historic run.
Viewers have particularly appreciated the film’s bold storytelling, which incorporates references to real-world issues and controversial figures such as Dawood Ibrahim and Atiq Ahmed. Themes touching upon events like demonetisation and its aftermath have also struck a chord with audiences, prompting reflection and discussion.
Filmgoers believe that such cinema not only entertains but also challenges existing perceptions and encourages new ways of thinking. With its current momentum, industry observers expect Dhurandhar 2 to break several more box office records in the coming weeks.
