IMPS facility launched; nearly 4 lakh customers of District Cooperative Central Bank to benefit from instant fund transfers

The 49th Annual General Meeting of the District Cooperative Central Bank, Rajnandgaon, was held at Udayachal premises in Rajnandgaon, with authorised representatives from all 356 cooperative societies across Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki and Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai districts participating in the meeting.
The annual meeting discussed the functioning of the bank, the role of cooperative societies and measures to provide better banking services to farmers and customers.
IMPS Facility Launched for Nearly 4 Lakh Customers
A key highlight of the meeting was the launch of the Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) facility by District Cooperative Central Bank Chairman Sachin Baghel.
With the introduction of IMPS, nearly 4 lakh customers associated with the bank will be able to transfer funds instantly, providing them with faster and more convenient banking services.
The facility is being viewed as an important step towards modernising the bank’s services and improving digital banking access for customers.
Focus on Strengthening Cooperative Banking
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Sachin Baghel highlighted the challenges faced during the initial phase of paddy procurement.
He appreciated the contribution of authorised officers and representatives of cooperative societies in ensuring that the government’s important paddy procurement programme was started smoothly and systematically through the societies.
The meeting also reviewed the role of cooperative societies operating under the bank’s jurisdiction. Participants emphasised giving priority to farmer-related activities, strengthening the cooperative system and making banking services more accessible and convenient.
Better Coordination with Cooperative Societies
Officials also stressed the need for stronger coordination between the bank and cooperative societies to improve the delivery of services to farmers and other customers.

Discussions were held on the bank’s functioning and its future plans, with participants expressing optimism about further expansion and modernisation of banking facilities.
Bank Officials and Representatives Attend Meeting
At the conclusion of the programme, Bank Vice-Chairman Bharat Verma expressed gratitude to all authorised representatives, bank officials, employees and members who attended the annual general meeting.
Bank Chief Executive Officer Sudhir Soni, Superintendent Suresh Dwivedi, along with Manish Srivastava, Prakash Shukla, Sanjay Bajpai, Yogeshwar Verma, Nodal Officer Ravi Mishra, Yogendra Sharma, Dilip Achla Nandishwar, Sunita and Namita, among other officials and employees, were present.
The meeting was conducted by Bank Manager Prakash Akhilesh. A large number of authorised representatives from cooperative societies participated in the meeting, where constructive discussions were held on the bank’s upcoming plans and expansion of customer-oriented services.
