Chief Engineer H.K. Meshram Inspects Under-Construction 33/11 kV Substation at Vicharpur Nawagaon

₹3.28 Crore Power Infrastructure Project Expected to Benefit 4,250 Consumers Across 31 Villages

Chief Engineer of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL), Rajnandgaon Region, H.K. Meshram inspected the under-construction 33/11 kV power substation at Vicharpur Nawagaon in Rajnandgaon district on Monday.

The substation is being constructed under the Chief Minister Electricity Infrastructure Development Scheme. During the inspection, Meshram reviewed the progress of the project and inspected the electrical equipment being installed as well as the feeders proposed to be connected to the substation.

Work to Be Completed by August 31

The Chief Engineer directed the agency responsible for construction to complete the remaining work by August 31, 2026. He also reviewed the ongoing installation and infrastructure development at the site.

₹3.28 Crore Investment in Power Infrastructure

According to CSPDCL, the new substation is being developed at an estimated cost of ₹3.28 crore under the Chief Minister Electricity Infrastructure Development Scheme.

The project includes installation of a new 3.15 MVA power transformer, along with construction of approximately 19 km of 33 kV lines and 3 km of 11 kV lines.

31 Villages to Benefit

Once operational, the Vicharpur Nawagaon substation is expected to improve electricity supply in the surrounding region and provide better-quality power to approximately 4,250 consumers across 31 villages.

The project is expected to strengthen the local power distribution network, improve supply reliability and support the growing electricity requirements of rural consumers in the area.
