Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav has directed the Agriculture Department and concerned agencies to ensure timely registration of farmers producing pulse and oilseed crops during the Rabi season so that procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP) can be effectively carried out under the Prime Minister Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA).
The administration has appealed to farmers to complete their registration at the earliest, as the final date for registration for sale of gram, lentil and mustard has been fixed as April 20, 2026.
Procurement Arrangements Under PM-AASHA
In compliance with the Collector’s instructions, procurement of pulses and oilseeds under the PM-AASHA scheme is being carried out through 15 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies and one Farmer Producer Organization — Swarna Upaj Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited, Sukuldaehan.

The Government of India has implemented the Price Support Scheme (PSS) under PM-AASHA to protect farmers’ income and promote expansion of pulse and oilseed cultivation. In the district, 15 procurement centres and one FPO have been officially notified, while procurement operations are being conducted through NAFED.
As per the notified MSP rates:
- Soybean – ₹5,328 per quintal
- Tur (Arhar) – ₹8,000 per quintal
- Gram (Chana) – ₹5,875 per quintal
- Lentil (Masoor) – ₹7,000 per quintal
- Mustard – ₹6,200 per quintal
Procurement Progress in the District
Deputy Director Agriculture Tikam Singh Thakur informed that a total of 1,451 quintals of crops have already been successfully procured in the district. The procurement includes:
- Gram – 967.5 quintals
- Lentil – 374.5 quintals
- Mustard – 15.5 quintals
- Tur – 9 quintals
- Soybean – 73.5 quintals
So far, 108 farmers have received payments amounting to ₹40,14,733.
According to registration data on the Integrated Farmer Portal, registrations have been completed by:
- 3,382 farmers for gram
- 1,237 farmers for lentil
- 465 farmers for mustard and rai
A total of 5,084 farmers have registered under the scheme.

Simple Registration Process for Farmers
Officials stated that if cultivated area details are not reflected in the girdawari records, farmers can obtain a joint verification certificate from the Rural Agriculture Extension Officer and Patwari and submit it at cooperative societies for procurement.
The registration process remains simple. Farmers need to visit the nearest designated cooperative society carrying land and crop documents, Aadhaar card and bank account details. Quality testing of produce is being conducted on-site by NAFED quality surveyors, and payments under PM-AASHA are ensured within one week.
Farmers Benefiting From Better Prices
Farmer Kamalnarayan Sahu, who successfully sold soybean and gram at the Tumdibod procurement centre, shared that he sold 29 quintals of soybean during Kharif season and received ₹1,86,480 directly in his bank account within 15 days. He has also sold 59 quintals of gram during the Rabi season.
Compared to prevailing market prices—Gram ₹5,070, Lentil ₹5,650 and Mustard ₹5,662 per quintal—farmers are receiving higher returns under PM-AASHA procurement, where gram is being purchased at ₹5,875, lentil at ₹7,000 and mustard at ₹6,500 per quintal.
Online Registration Encouraged
Farmers have been advised to register online through the Integrated Farmer Portal and NAFED’s e-Samriddhi portal under the Price Support Scheme to avail scheme benefits. The PM-AASHA initiative continues to play an important role in increasing farmers’ income and expanding pulse and oilseed cultivation in the region.
The administration has once again urged farmers to complete registration before April 20, 2026, to ensure procurement of their produce at support prices.
