Anant Narayan Dutta, Commandant of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), visited PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dongargarh, where he explored key learning spaces including the Math Park, Science Park, and Educational Park. He was warmly welcomed by Principal Rupendra Singh and Vice Principal Sanjay Kumar Mandal.
The visit began with an interactive session at the Math Park, guided by in-charge Sneh Agrawal, who demonstrated how mathematical concepts are taught through engaging, activity-based models. Commandant Dutta observed how students learn complex theorems and mathematical operations through hands-on exploration and playful methods.
He was accompanied by his daughter, a sixth-grade student, making the visit both professional and personal. Later, the Commandant toured the Science Park, led by faculty members Sitesh Kumar Pradhan, Daduram Chandra, and Anil Kumar Paul, where he observed experimental setups aligned with the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Vice Principal Sanjay Kumar Mandal presented a detailed overview of the school’s extracurricular and academic initiatives, emphasizing how such interactive environments foster joyful and open learning.
Impressed by the innovation and student-centered approach, Commandant Dutta assured support for launching special training programs in Taekwondo, Karate, and Judo for self-defense under his direct supervision. He also highlighted the ITBP’s previous contribution in sanitation drives within the campus.
The visit concluded with expressions of gratitude from the school’s leadership, who emphasized the value of such visits in motivating students and enhancing institutional quality through external collaboration.
