Residents Thank State Leadership for Proposed Mohara Fair–Oxyzone Suspension Bridge and Area Development Initiatives

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker and Rajnandgaon MLA Dr. Raman Singh on Saturday inaugurated a passenger waiting shelter constructed in Mohara at a cost of ₹5 lakh under the MLA Local Area Development Fund. The inauguration was marked by the unveiling of the foundation plaque and ribbon-cutting ceremony in the presence of local residents and public representatives.

The programme was attended by Member of Parliament Santosh Pandey, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, BJP District President Komal Singh Rajput, and Rajgami Sampada Nyas Chairperson Purnima Sahu.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Raman Singh expressed happiness over the enthusiastic participation of residents, saying that the large turnout at the inauguration reflected the community’s commitment to the development of the ward.

He said the passenger waiting shelter had been constructed through the MLA fund to provide greater convenience to residents of Mohara and added that similar development works would continue to be undertaken in different wards.

Residents Express Gratitude for Development Initiatives

During the programme, Mohara Ward Councillor Alok Shroti and local residents thanked Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Dr. Raman Singh, MP Santosh Pandey, and Mayor Madhusudan Yadav for the announcement of the proposed ₹49-crore suspension bridge connecting the Mohara Fair Ground with the Oxyzone.

Residents also expressed their appreciation for the ongoing initiative to develop the Mohara Fair Ground, stating that the project would significantly enhance public infrastructure in the area.

Rajnandgaon celebrated Independence Day 2026 with patriotic fervour at the Shaurya Parade Ground, where Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh unfurled the Tricolour and took the parade salute.
