The district administration’s seriousness regarding the upcoming census exercise has now become clearly visible. Collector Jitendra Yadav personally inspected a field training programme organised in the Sagarpara area, sending a strong message that the census is not merely a routine government procedure but a crucial exercise that will shape the country’s future.
Collector Reviews Training Arrangements
During the inspection, the Collector closely examined training arrangements and quality standards. He issued strict instructions to enumerators, directing them to perform their responsibilities with complete dedication and seriousness.
He stated that since the last census was conducted in 2011, the upcoming exercise carries added importance, as every piece of collected data will serve as the foundation for development plans and government policies in the coming years. He emphasized that there is no scope for negligence in such a vital national task.
Census to be Conducted Through Digital Mode
Officials informed during the training session that this time the census will be conducted entirely through digital means. Enumerators will record data using a mobile application, collecting detailed information related to family structure, housing conditions, communication facilities, sanitation infrastructure, and other essential parameters.

Instructions were also provided regarding precautions to be taken during data entry to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Accurate Data Key to Policy Formation
The Collector clarified that the census is not just about filling forms but about presenting the real picture of society. Referring to a well-known saying — “Data speaks, and data does not lie” — he underlined that the information collected during the census becomes the basis for governance, planning, and welfare schemes.
He further explained that statistics is an important branch of mathematics that scientifically analyses facts and realities. The more accurate and truthful the data collected, the more effective and precise the outcomes of policy decisions will be.
Public Cooperation Essential
The Collector noted that citizens have been extending cooperation, which will help ensure smooth implementation of the exercise. The district administration appealed to residents to actively participate in this nationally significant activity and provide complete and correct information to enumerators.
Self-Enumeration Facility to Be Introduced
In the coming days, a self-enumeration facility will also be made available, allowing citizens to independently submit their information as part of the census process.
Clear Administrative Message
The administration has conveyed a clear message that the census is neither a formality nor a symbolic exercise. Instead, it serves as the foundation for determining national policies, development priorities, and future planning. The seriousness with which preparations and monitoring are being carried out in Rajnandgaon reflects the administration’s commitment to fulfilling this responsibility with full vigilance.
