Under the Special Summary Revision (SIR) conducted by the Election Commission of India, BLOs across the district are engaged in door-to-door verification and revision of voter lists. To monitor the process and ensure accountability, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Deepak Baij has assigned responsibilities to state office bearers for their respective polling stations.
As part of this ongoing campaign, booth number 162 in Aalikhunta village of the Rajnandgaon Assembly constituency achieved 100% completion of the SIR verification process. Recognizing this milestone, PCC General Secretary and Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha In-charge Shahid Bhai felicitated BLO Hemlata Sahu for her diligent and time-bound work. He honoured her by draping a shawl and appreciated her sincere efforts.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahid Bhai said, “The SIR process, though implemented at short notice, is indeed challenging. However, the Congress Party is committed to ensuring full transparency in voter list verification wherever the process is underway. Our aim is to prevent the deletion of any genuine voter’s name due to errors or malicious intent. The entire PCC team is working with integrity toward this goal.”
He further remarked that the hard work of BLOs plays a critical role in the verification process. Acknowledging and appreciating their dedicated contribution boosts their morale and motivates them to work with greater responsibility. “When work is carried out with sincerity, accuracy and transparency in the voter list can truly be ensured,” he added.
The felicitation event saw the presence of State Congress Spokesperson Rupesh Dubey, regional leader Chain Sahu, Anganwadi worker Phuleshwari Sahu, Heera Singh, Sada Ram Sahu, Kheduram Sahu, Parau Ram Sahu, Suresh Sahu, and several villagers.
