Reviews development works and government schemes, directs officials to ensure quality and timely implementation

District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Durga Prasad Adhikari inspected several gram panchayats under Dongargaon Janpad Panchayat on Sunday to review the progress of development works and various government schemes. During his visit to Tumdibod, Machanpar, Diwanbhedi and Odarbund Gram Panchayats, he issued necessary directions to officials to ensure the quality, transparency and timely implementation of government schemes.
The District Panchayat CEO inspected the under-construction Atal Samrasta Bhawan and Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra in Tumdibod Gram Panchayat. He also reviewed the progress of tax collection and sought details from the Panchayat Secretary regarding data recorded on the online portal.
During the visit, he interacted with the Sarpanch and beneficiaries to gather information about the benefits being received under the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and other welfare schemes.

He also inspected a government school and an Anganwadi centre, reviewing student attendance and the availability of nutritious food for children.
Anganwadi Facilities Reviewed
In Machanpar Gram Panchayat, the CEO inspected the Anganwadi centre and reviewed the facilities and arrangements available for children. He issued necessary directions to officials to ensure proper care, nutrition and facilities at the centre.
At Odarbund Gram Panchayat, he inspected the site selected for a VNM and held discussions with the Sarpanch regarding the proposed work. He directed officials to complete the necessary processes within the stipulated timeline.
Inspects 6,000 Contour Trenches for Water and Soil Conservation

At Diwanbhedi Gram Panchayat, Durga Prasad Adhikari inspected the injection well constructed at a percolation tank. He also reviewed nearly 6,000 contour trenches constructed for water and soil conservation on the hills of Diwanbhedi, Margांव and Girgaon.
He directed the concerned officials to ensure regular maintenance and effective utilisation of these water and soil conservation structures. Such structures play an important role in groundwater recharge, rainwater conservation and soil protection.
The inspection was attended by Dongargaon Janpad Panchayat CEO Roshni Bhagat Toppo, SDO (RES) Shrikant Dewangan, officials and employees of various departments, and a large number of villagers.
