BJP South Mandal President Golu Gupta has strongly condemned the reported incident involving the slaughter of cattle and the sale of meat in the Gaurinagar area of Rajnandgaon, demanding stringent legal action against those found responsible.

Gupta said that the incident occurring during the auspicious festival of Navratri was unfortunate and had hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindu community. He called for a thorough and impartial investigation to ensure that those responsible were brought to justice.

Community Members Seek Action Through Democratic Means

Gupta stated that members of various communities had held meetings and submitted memorandums to the administration, demanding action in connection with the incident.

He emphasised that members of the Hindu community had chosen to register their protest through democratic means rather than taking the law into their own hands.

He urged the administration to investigate the matter impartially and ensure that those found guilty were punished in accordance with the law.

Golu Gupta Questions Congress Leaders’ Silence

Raising questions about the response of Congress leaders, Gupta asked why they had remained silent on the matter despite speaking out on other incidents.

Gupta called upon the administration to take effective legal action based on the findings of the investigation.
