Player of the Tournament Gangotri Naik, who smashed a breathtaking century in the semi-final, was once again the architect of the victory in the final, remaining unbeaten on 78 off just 52 balls. Her opening partner, Radha Kumari, and all-rounder Phoolmati Yadav were equally instrumental throughout the campaign, earning standing ovations from a packed stadium that included cricket legends, dignitaries, and thousands of emotional fans.

This historic victory marks the first-ever global title for blind women’s cricket and places India firmly at the pinnacle of the sport. The team’s journey has been nothing short of inspirational: many players come from remote villages, have overcome societal barriers, financial hardships, and the daily challenges of visual impairment, yet trained relentlessly under the guidance of the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI).
