The Chhattisgarh Government has accelerated preparations to provide greater support to farmers through the Krishak Unnati Yojana Kharif 2026. A high-level review meeting was held at Mahanadi Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Vikasheel to discuss the effective implementation of the scheme.
The meeting focused on the process of providing input assistance (subsidy) to farmers, eligibility guidelines and integration of databases to ensure smooth delivery of benefits.
Digital Integration to Simplify the Process
Chief Secretary Vikasheel directed officials to ensure that the implementation of the scheme is fully transparent, simple and error-free. He emphasised integrating various Agriculture Department portals with the paddy procurement database so that farmers would not have to repeatedly submit documents or provide the same information.
To strengthen digital governance, he directed officials to link data from the Digital Crop Survey, Farmer ID, Farm ID and girdawari records. This would enable better utilisation of information regarding farmers’ total landholdings and crop areas.
He also instructed officials to provide farmers with an easy facility to verify their unique Farm IDs and apply for financial assistance under the scheme.

AgriStack Registration and Paddy Crop Details Mandatory
The meeting outlined key conditions for availing benefits under the scheme. Registration on AgriStack will be mandatory for farmers seeking assistance.
The relevant land must also be recorded as being under paddy cultivation in the Digital Crop Survey. In addition, at least one successful procurement transaction under the paddy procurement process will be required. For this purpose, information available on the Food Department’s paddy procurement portal will be used.
Physical Verification to Ensure Eligibility
To protect farmers’ interests and ensure that benefits reach eligible beneficiaries, officials were directed to verify the subsidised land area at the time of issuing procurement tokens.
Special instructions were issued to make physical verification mandatory in cases involving farmers who did not sell paddy during the previous year.
Focus on Pulses, Oilseeds and Millets
The meeting also discussed procurement arrangements for pulses, oilseeds and millets, including Kodo, Kutki and Ragi, along with incentives available to farmers cultivating these crops.
The Chief Secretary directed officials to widely publicise the scheme’s eligibility conditions and application process in rural areas. He stressed that farmers should receive clear information so that they do not face difficulties while applying for benefits.
