Speaking on the occasion, BJYM Rajnandgaon District President Monu Bahadur Singh stated, “The Emergency of 1975 was a dark chapter in Indian democracy, imposed by the dictatorial mindset of the Congress government. During that period, the fundamental rights of citizens were suspended, freedom of expression was crushed, and hundreds of political leaders were imprisoned without trial.”

The speakers urged the youth to remain ever vigilant in defending democratic values and the Constitution. The event served as a powerful reminder of the past, highlighting how fragile democracy can become in the absence of public awareness and participation.

The delegation from Rajnandgaon included district-level BJYM leaders and volunteers such as Neeraj Yadav, Anurag Chaurasia, Durgesh Sahu, Divya Golu Suryavanshi, DKesh Sahu, Vivek Sharma, Pintu Verma, Deva Jha, Gyanesh Gupta, Ashutosh Singh, Manish Sahu, Prakhar Srivastava, Sajja Singh Thakur, and many others who represented the district with great enthusiasm.
