Empowering Workers Through Education and Opportunity

One of the most inspiring initiatives undertaken for worker empowerment is the provision of free education for the children of labourers in excellence schools. This initiative represents not merely a scheme but a pathway for transformative change, enabling future generations to build secure and prosperous lives through knowledge and opportunity.

The growing presence of children from labour families in prestigious schools across the state reflects the image of a new Chhattisgarh. Additionally, students securing merit positions receive financial incentives worth lakhs of rupees, demonstrating the government’s commitment to recognizing talent above all. This initiative has become a source of pride and confidence for the entire labour community.

Economic Strengthening Through Direct Benefit Transfers

Significant progress has also been recorded in economic empowerment through the coordinated functioning of the Industry and Labour Departments. Over the past two years, hundreds of crores of rupees have been directly transferred into workers’ bank accounts, ensuring transparency and effective delivery of government benefits.

Thousands of workers are benefiting daily from various welfare schemes, indicating strong implementation at the grassroots level. Initiatives such as housing assistance, the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Shram Ann Yojana, and immediate financial assistance during accidents have played a vital role in enhancing worker security and dignity.

Under the Shram Ann Yojana, nutritious hot meals are being provided at just ₹5, symbolizing a humane and sensitive governance approach.

Industrial Expansion Reaching New Heights

Under the leadership of Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Chhattisgarh has achieved new milestones in industrial development. The Industrial Development Policy 2024–30 has encouraged investment inflow and expanded employment opportunities.

Investment proposals worth crores of rupees, establishment of hundreds of new industries, and employment generation for thousands of youth stand as evidence of the policy’s success.

Technology-Driven Growth and Investor Confidence

The initiative to establish the country’s first AI Data Center in Nava Raipur, along with investments in emerging sectors such as semiconductors and information technology, is positioning Chhattisgarh firmly in the modern technological era.

Implementation of the Startup Policy and administrative reforms such as e-tendering systems and single-window clearance mechanisms have enhanced transparency and strengthened investor confidence. As a result, the state is increasingly becoming an attractive investment destination.
