Directions to Improve Sanitation and Address Waterlogging

Residents of Mahendra Nagar and Prabhat Nagar raised concerns over waterlogging during heavy rains and inadequate sanitation due to a shortage of sanitation workers.

The Mayor directed the Health Officer to ensure that the existing sanitation staff carry out daily cleaning within the prescribed schedule and that additional cleaning teams are deployed every week wherever necessary.

To address waterlogging, he instructed officials to improve the gradient of drains to ensure smooth water flow and directed the repair of leaking water pipelines.

The Mayor informed residents that a proposal has already been submitted to the government for the construction of a major drainage channel to facilitate proper water discharge in flood-prone areas.
