Municipal Commissioner G.R. Markam congratulated revenue officials for their performance during the weekly review meeting of the Revenue Department, praising them for recording strong revenue collection over the past week.

Reviewing ward-wise collection figures, the Commissioner said the encouraging performance demonstrated that the Municipal Corporation could achieve 100 per cent revenue collection during the current financial year if the same momentum was maintained.

Commissioner Appreciates Teamwork

Addressing the meeting, Markam noted that a large number of municipal employees are currently engaged in patta survey work across various wards. Despite these additional responsibilities, the Revenue Department succeeded in registering substantial collections during the week.

He congratulated all revenue in-charges and urged them to continue working with the same level of coordination and planning.

The Commissioner said that more than ₹1.50 crore had been collected in approximately 20 days since he assumed charge, describing the achievement as the result of the department’s dedicated efforts.

He thanked the officials for their performance and expressed confidence that continued hard work would help ensure timely salary payments and enable the Municipal Corporation to meet its financial targets.
