₹500-Crore Chief Minister’s AI Mission Set to Shape the Future of Youth, Technology and Governance

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to expand rapidly across the world, Chhattisgarh is preparing to take a significant new step towards building an AI-driven future. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is committed to connecting AI with new opportunities in development, employment and good governance.
Preparations are underway to promote the use of AI across sectors ranging from agriculture and healthcare to education and administration.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has said that the effective use of AI in education, healthcare, agriculture and various public service sectors will create new opportunities for employment and innovation and contribute to the building of a developed Chhattisgarh.
₹500-Crore Chief Minister’s AI Mission
Keeping future requirements in mind, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has launched the ₹500-crore Chief Minister’s AI Mission.
The primary objective of the mission is to make Chhattisgarh not merely a state that adopts AI technology, but a leading state in its application and innovation.
Under the mission, 100 AI labs and five Centres of Excellence will be developed across the state.
Around 6 lakh students and 1.5 lakh government officers and employees will be connected with the use of AI. More than 50 government services will also be made more effective through AI.
To help young people move from being job seekers to becoming job creators, training in machine learning and data science is also being provided.
AI Applications in Agriculture, Healthcare and Administration
The scope of the mission extends beyond the IT sector, with AI being introduced to make everyday life easier for citizens.
In agriculture, analysis of data related to weather, crops, pests and diseases can help farmers receive timely and accurate advice.
AI-based technology is also expected to improve medical diagnosis, disease identification and management of healthcare resources.
AI for Good Governance and Industry
The expansion of government portals such as Seva Setu, along with the use of AI, is helping make scheme monitoring and citizen services more accessible.
In industries, AI is expected to contribute to greater productivity and energy efficiency. The use of robotics and machine learning in factories can increase production speed and reduce errors.
AI sensors continuously monitor the condition of machines and can provide warnings before a breakdown occurs, helping reduce costs.
Industries are also using AI-powered tools to understand individual preferences and provide 24×7 assistance.

Nava Raipur Emerging as a Technology and AI Hub
Nava Raipur is being developed as a major centre for IT, AI and data centres.
An AI-based data centre and AI SEZ are being developed here with an investment of around ₹1,000 crore.
In addition, a decision has been taken to establish a National Skill Training Institute in Nava Raipur at a cost of around ₹200 crore.
AI Centres of Excellence at NIT Raipur and IIIT Nava Raipur are promoting research and startups in areas such as mining, steel, healthcare, agriculture and smart governance.
These initiatives are opening new avenues for high-technology employment for the youth of Chhattisgarh.
Country’s First AI-Based Data Centre Coming Up in Nava Raipur
A project described in the article as the country’s first AI-based data centre is being developed in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar across 13.5 acres.
The project is expected to give a new identity to the state while also bringing significant changes for the general public.
With the expansion of AI and technology infrastructure, young people in the state are expected to gain better career opportunities without having to migrate to larger cities.
The benefits of AI technology will also extend to farmers, students and citizens. Stronger digital services can make it easier to deliver education, healthcare and government schemes to people in remote areas.
