Collector Jitendra Yadav participates in yoga session at Ayushman Arogya Mandir Tumdibod; directs improvement in health centre services within 15 days

Under a special yoga campaign being conducted across the district to promote a healthy lifestyle, Collector Jitendra Yadav visited the Ayushman Arogya Mandir Primary Health Centre at Tumdibod in Dongargaon development block early this morning. During the visit, he participated in a yoga practice session along with local villagers.
The Collector performed yoga exercises and encouraged residents to adopt a healthy lifestyle through regular yoga practice. He motivated villagers to make yoga a daily habit and emphasized the importance of maintaining physical and mental well-being.

Advice on Summer Health Precautions
Addressing the gathering, the Collector advised citizens to take special precautions during the summer season. He urged people to protect themselves from heatstroke, drink adequate water, consume light and nutritious food, and include regular yoga practice in their daily routine.
He stated that every individual should dedicate at least one hour daily to health-related activities. According to him, yoga is highly beneficial not only for physical fitness but also for mental health and can help prevent several diseases.
He also appealed to citizens to actively incorporate yoga into their daily lives and contribute towards building a healthier society.

Review of Development Works and Public Concerns
During the visit, the Collector interacted with villagers and gathered information regarding development works and basic civic requirements. Acting on complaints raised by villagers, he expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of staff at the Primary Health Centre, Tumdibod.
He instructed the staff to ensure regular attendance and directed officials to improve all facilities and arrangements at the health centre within 15 days.
Yoga Training and Health Awareness Activities
A trained yoga instructor conducted sessions on various yoga postures and pranayama exercises, in which villagers participated enthusiastically. The campaign aims to create awareness among citizens above 30 years of age regarding prevention and control of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.

Certified yoga trainers are conducting exercises including Mandukasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana and other yogic practices across the district. Regular BP and sugar level check-ups are also being carried out at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, where Ayush doctors are providing guidance on balanced diet and lifestyle improvement.
Officials and Citizens Participate
Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. N.R. Navratan, District Programme Manager Sandeep Tamrakar, Hospital Consultant Vikas Rathore, the Medical Officer of the Primary Health Centre, health department officials and local residents were present during the programme.
