Procurement of rabi season pulses and oilseeds under the PM-AASHA Yojana is progressing steadily in Rajnandgaon district, following directives issued by Collector Jitendra Yadav. The initiative aims to ensure that farmers receive fair prices for their produce through government-backed procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Under the Price Support Scheme (PSS), procurement is being carried out at 15 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) centres, along with the participation of a Farmer Producer Organization—Swarn Upaj Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited. The state government is facilitating the process through NAFED, ensuring transparent and efficient transactions.

According to Deputy Director Agriculture Tikam Singh Thakur, a total of 347 quintals of pulses and oilseeds have been procured in the district over the past week. So far, 649 farmers have registered under the PSS through the Integrated Farmer Portal, including 529 for gram, 264 for lentils, and 82 for mustard and rapeseed. Officials have urged remaining farmers to complete their registration at the earliest to avail the benefits of the scheme.

Farmers can register online via the Integrated Farmer Portal and NAFED’s e-Samriddhi platform, ensuring direct transfer of procurement payments into their bank accounts.

Officials noted that the scheme is expected to significantly boost the cultivation of pulses and oilseeds in the region while enhancing farmers’ incomes through assured pricing and streamlined procurement mechanisms.
