Two-Day Training on Professional Conduct and Mental Resilience Concludes in Rajnandgaon Range

Police officers trained in workplace ethics, stress management, leadership and decision-making to strengthen professional efficiency and public service

A two-day training programme on “Professional Conduct and Mental Resilience was organised at the Reserve Centre, Rajnandgaon, on August 4 and 5 under the guidance of Inspector General of Police (IG), Rajnandgaon Range, Ajay Kumar Yadav. The initiative aimed to strengthen the personality development and professional competence of police officers and personnel.

Inaugurating the programme, IG Ajay Kumar Yadav emphasised the importance of learning from mistakes encountered during police duties to improve efficiency and continuously enhance professional performance. He encouraged officers and personnel to develop a learning mindset and strive for continuous improvement in their professional capabilities.

Addressing the participants, Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma said that maintaining both mental and physical well-being is essential for effective policing. She stressed the need to enhance work efficiency, perform responsibilities in a stress-free manner and cultivate a habit of continuous learning.

During the training sessions, participants were sensitised to the importance of professional conduct, effective communication, ethical values, teamwork, time management and a positive workplace culture. The programme also covered practical aspects of mental resilience, stress management, balanced decision-making in challenging situations, emotional regulation and the development of positive thinking.

Subject experts from NEPRA ConsultingDr. Neha Shukla, Dr. Pratibha Daipuriya, and Aniket Singh Deol—conducted interactive sessions featuring practical examples, group activities and discussions. The experts shared techniques to help participants effectively manage workplace challenges and remain motivated in demanding situations.

Participants described the training as informative and beneficial, stating that it would help improve their professional conduct and enable them to make better decisions under stressful circumstances.

The programme was attended by police officers from all districts of the Rajnandgaon Range, ranging from the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police to Sub-Inspector.

At the valedictory session, IG Ajay Kumar Yadav urged participants to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training in their daily responsibilities. He expressed confidence that the programme would contribute to improving police functioning and enhancing the quality of public service.
