Battling a 102°F fever, the 23-year-old defeated England’s Chantelle Reid 5-0 in the final, becoming Rajasthan’s first woman boxer to claim a Commonwealth Games gold medal.

Observed from August 1 to 7, World Breastfeeding Week aims to raise awareness about the life-saving benefits of breastfeeding. Health experts emphasise that breastfeeding within the first hour of birth and exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months provide newborns with essential nutrition, immunity and emotional security while contributing to healthier families and communities.

A two-day training programme on “Professional Conduct and Mental Resilience” concluded at the Rajnandgaon Reserve Centre under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Ajay Kumar Yadav. The programme focused on enhancing professional behaviour, mental resilience and workplace efficiency among police officers across the Rajnandgaon Range.

As part of the second phase of the Gau Samman Ahwan Abhiyan, more than three lakh signatures collected in Rajnandgaon were submitted through the District Magistrate to the President of India, the Prime Minister, the Governor and the Chief Minister. Across the country, the campaign submitted memorandums supported by over 15 crore signatures, reiterating more than 30 demands related to cow protection and welfare.
