‘One Station One Product’ Scheme Gains Strong Response in Rajnandgaon

Self-Help Group Women Achieving Financial Empowerment; Passengers Receiving Pure and Locally Crafted Products

The One Station One Product initiative is receiving an excellent response in Rajnandgaon district, leading to increased economic empowerment of women belonging to self-help groups. The scheme is also benefiting passengers and consumers, who are getting access to high-quality, authentic local products at railway stations.

Locally produced specialty items such as Mahua Laddoo, Mahua Pickle, Jamun Chips, Mahua Cookies, Mahua Squash, and Jamun Juice have become key attractions for travelers. The stall operated by Karmabhoomi Self-Help Group on Platform No.1 at Rajnandgaon Railway Station is particularly known for its herbal and natural product range.

Stall operator Deepak Soni informed that women from rural Van Dhan Kendras collect natural forest products including Amla, Harra and Baheda, which are processed into various herbal and Ayurvedic items. More than 100 herbal products, along with millet-based cookies and other nutritious foods, are available for sale at the stall.

Consumer Priya Soni shared her positive experience: natural products like aloe vera gel, mehndi, honey, and herbal shampoo have provided excellent results due to being completely chemical-free. Self-help group member Varsha Soni added that several Ayurvedic products beneficial for conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are also available.

Major products available at the stall include:
Amla powder, Triphala, Ashwagandha, anti-diabetic powder, Jamun juice, Amla juice, Bael juice, Aloe vera juice, Chyawanprash, Mahua and bamboo shoot pickle, herbal tea, Mahavishgarbh oil, Bhringraj oil, Aloe-based baby wash, face creams, shampoos, conditioners, and more.

This initiative is not only generating livelihood opportunities for women but also promoting the traditional and natural product culture of the region at a wider platform.
