Former DGP Upadhyay, Ex-ADGP Thakur Pay Tribute to Late Ramkrishna Tiwari

Condolence Meeting Held in Rajnandgaon; Eminent Citizens Remember Veteran Social Worker and Banking Professional

A condolence meeting and prayer gathering were organized at Terapanth Bhavan in the city following the demise of noted social worker and retired banking professional Ramkrishna Tiwari, a resident of Mahesh Nagar. He was the father of Hemant Tiwari and Rajesh Tiwari, grandfather of Dr. Aditi Tiwari Sharma, and elder brother of retired ADGP Anand Tiwari.

A large number of public representatives, administrative and judicial officials, advocates, doctors, social workers and prominent citizens attended the programme to offer floral tributes and extend condolences to the bereaved family.

Former Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh A. N. Upadhyay also visited Rajnandgaon and paid homage, recalling the late Tiwari’s simplicity, sociable nature and active involvement in social causes. He said his absence would be deeply felt in the community for a long time.

Retired Additional Director General of Police from Madhya Pradesh B. B. S. Thakur, senior editor Ashok Pandey, Shailendra Kothari, senior social worker Inderchand Kothari and several other dignitaries were present to console the family. Members from the judiciary, including Yogesh Parikh, along with political and social leaders from various fields, also prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

Speakers remembered Ramkrishna Tiwari’s distinguished career as a Regional Manager with Allahabad Bank, highlighting his deep knowledge of banking and his willingness to offer selfless guidance to those who sought his advice. Despite being 89 years old, he remained active and engaged with society, leaving behind an inspiring legacy.

The gathering observed a two-minute silence to honor the departed soul and prayed for strength and courage for the grieving family.
