Sensational claims related to alleged harassment and religious conversion involving an IT company in Nashik have gone viral across social media platforms, triggering widespread public attention and debate.
The viral posts allege forced misconduct, religious pressure on employees, and other serious accusations. Some claims circulating online also mention the registration of nine FIRs and six arrests.
Police Confirm Complaints, Verification Underway
Responding to the controversy, Maharashtra Police clarified that certain complaints have indeed been received, based on which First Information Reports have been registered and investigations initiated.
Police officials confirmed that a few suspects have been taken into custody for questioning. However, authorities stressed that all allegations being circulated on social media have not yet received official confirmation.

SIT Conducting Detailed Investigation
According to officials, allegations relating to alleged “religious conversion” and other serious charges are being examined from every possible angle. Considering the sensitive nature of the case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been activated to ensure an impartial and comprehensive probe.
The SIT is currently examining evidence, statements, and digital material to establish verified facts and determine the authenticity of the accusations.
Growing National Debate on Conversion Allegations
In recent times, reports concerning alleged religious conversion incidents have surfaced from different parts of the country, many of which remain under investigation. The issue has sparked wider social and political discussions, prompting increased legal scrutiny and monitoring in such cases.
Experts emphasize that while some investigations have led to significant revelations, every case requires fact-based verification and unbiased inquiry, as unverified or misleading information often spreads rapidly through digital platforms.
Administration Appeals Against Rumours
Authorities have appealed to citizens to verify information before sharing any sensitive content online and to refrain from spreading rumours that may create unnecessary panic or social tension.
At present, the matter remains under investigation, and officials have stated that detailed facts will emerge only after the completion of the inquiry.
