Seven Special Teams Conduct Simultaneous Raids Across Multiple Police Station Areas Following Complaints of Stolen Goods Trade

Acting on continuous complaints regarding the purchase and sale of stolen goods under the guise of scrap business operations, district police carried out a major enforcement action through a coordinated raid campaign.
The operation was conducted under the directions of Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Kirtan Rathore. A total of seven special police teams were formed to conduct simultaneous raids across different police station jurisdictions.
Simultaneous Raids Across Key Areas
During the operation, police teams carried out searches at seven locations falling under Kotwali, Somni, and Chikhli outpost areas. The raids led to the seizure of a large quantity of suspected scrap materials, including vehicle parts, number plates, engines, gas cylinders, and various mechanical and electrical equipment.
Officials estimated the total value of the seized materials at approximately ₹32 lakh.
Suspicion of Stolen Goods Disposal
According to police officials, scrap shops are often suspected of being used as channels for disposing of stolen electrical and mechanical items. Keeping these concerns in mind, the district police launched the special campaign to verify the legality of scrap trading activities.
Investigations revealed that some scrap operators were allegedly involved in illegal activities under the cover of legitimate buying and selling operations. Strict legal action is being initiated against those found violating the law.
Coordinated Police Effort
The operation witnessed active participation from City Superintendent of Police Vaishali Jain, Sub-Divisional Officer of Police Manjulata Baj, along with station in-charges and district police personnel who played a significant role in executing the crackdown.
Continued Action Against Illegal Trade
District police authorities have made it clear that such enforcement drives will continue in the future to curb theft-related crimes and strengthen law and order across the district.
