Mahavir Ward Councillor Jainam Baid conducted an extensive public outreach campaign across different localities of the ward on Monday, interacting with residents and listening to their civic concerns. During the visit, initiatives were taken to address issues related to drinking water, sanitation, pensions and ration cards.

Several residents complained about the supply of contaminated drinking water in parts of the ward. Responding immediately, Councillor Baid contacted the concerned officials from the site and instructed them to resolve the issue at the earliest while ensuring the regular supply of clean drinking water.

As part of the outreach programme, Baid also visited the homes of beneficiaries receiving destitute pensions and heard their grievances. He assured them that necessary coordination would be made with the concerned department to resolve issues related to pension withdrawals and other administrative difficulties.

During the campaign, the application process for 10 eligible beneficiaries seeking new ration cards was also completed to facilitate their early inclusion under the government’s food security scheme.

Reviewing sanitation arrangements in the ward, the councillor directed immediate cleaning at locations where residents had reported unhygienic conditions. He also invited suggestions from residents for maintaining a clean and well-managed ward and appealed for greater public participation in strengthening the cleanliness drive.

Jainam Baid also informed residents that, for their convenience, a Patwari meeting is being held every Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the councillor’s office located at Ganj Chowk. The initiative is intended to help citizens access revenue-related services, including land records and tax-related matters, without unnecessary inconvenience.

He said that ensuring the prompt resolution of every issue affecting ward residents remains his priority. According to Baid, the public outreach programme will continue on a regular basis to ensure timely resolution of citizens’ concerns through direct interaction.
