Under Good Governance Week, the district administration is organising cluster-level “Administration at Your Doorstep” camps from December 19 to December 25, 2025, to ensure last-mile delivery of government services. As part of this initiative, a special camp was organised on Friday in the remote forest village of Godalwahi in Chhuriya block.

Villagers from 24 gram panchayats participated in the camp. Various departments set up information and service stalls to spread awareness about government schemes and provide on-the-spot benefits. A total of 195 applications were received during the camp, out of which 70 were resolved immediately.
The Women and Child Development Department organised Godbharai and Annaprashan ceremonies on the occasion. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, sanitation worker women and Mitanins who rendered outstanding services were honoured. Sanitation workers also conveyed messages promoting cleanliness and hygiene in villages.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, new LPG gas connections were provided to women beneficiaries, including Purnima Sahu, Aarti Bai, Hem Bai and Sukhbati Bai, offering them relief from traditional cooking methods.
