In a landmark push towards sustainable development, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav declared Shajapur district as the upcoming hub for green energy and solar manufacturing in Madhya Pradesh, while laying the foundation stone and inaugurating six major industrial units with a colossal combined investment of ₹8,174 crore at a grand ceremony in Maksi town on Sunday. The event, held at the Dussehra Grounds, also marked the rollout of 20 key development projects worth over ₹487 crore, underscoring the state government’s commitment to industrial growth, rural upliftment, and infrastructure overhaul in the Malwa-Nimar region.

The highlight of the day was the foundation stone for M/s Jackson Integrated Solar Limited, a state-of-the-art solar manufacturing unit with an investment of ₹7,104.89 crore. Slated to be operational by July 2026, this facility alone is expected to create over 10,000 direct and indirect jobs, positioning Maksi as Central India’s premier green manufacturing epicenter.

“Ujjain, Dewas, and Shajapur are emerging as Madhya Pradesh’s new industrial triad, focusing on green energy, MSME parks, supply chain resilience, and food processing,” CM Yadav emphasized, highlighting how the region – already home to the ambitious Shajapur Solar Park (450 MW capacity) – will soon rival Rewa as a renewable energy beacon.

Named after India’s Iron Man, the school – equipped with smart classrooms, libraries, and sports facilities – aims to benefit over 1,000 students annually from rural backgrounds. “This vidyalaya will nurture the next generation of leaders, echoing Sardar Patel’s vision of unity and progress,” the CM remarked, aligning it with the state’s broader push for quality education in aspirational districts.

Infrastructure Leap: 4-Lane Maxi Marg and City Road Get ₹384 Crore Green SignalConnectivity took center stage with the bhumi pujan for the 38.95 km four-lane Ujjain-Maksi road (including Maxi city stretches), a ₹384 crore project that promises to slash travel time between the religious hub of Ujjain and industrial Maksi by half. This highway, part of the emerging Ujjain-Dewas-Shajapur industrial corridor, will feature advanced safety features like dividers, LED lighting, and green medians. Additional approvals included the Lakhundar irrigation project (to irrigate thousands of hectares), Berchha-Jhokra-Maksi road upgrade (₹110 crore), and a high-level bridge over Lakhundar river (₹20 crore), ensuring seamless logistics for the burgeoning green sector.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia (as chief guest), state ministers, MLAs, district collectors, and thousands of locals, with cultural performances and farmer testimonials adding vibrancy. An MSME park in Bhadoni-Bamaniyakhedi-Kherkhedi (₹2,500 crore investment) was also flagged off, projected to employ 4,000 workers.
