Government’s Citizen-Centric Initiative Brings Solutions, Development Announcements, and Widespread Public Participation from Villages to Urban Centers

Festival of Good Governance Creates Lasting Memories
Sushasan Tihar concluded by leaving behind countless memories and moments of happiness, with its positive impact clearly visible across Rajnandgaon district. From urban centers to remote rural areas, authorities demonstrated promptness in addressing public grievances, while a festive atmosphere prevailed from villages to cities.
Despite the summer season, large numbers of citizens participated in the camps organized under the initiative. Sushasan Tihar provided a platform for people to express their aspirations and concerns. The government’s effort to promote dialogue and ensure the resolution of problems received widespread public support and active participation.
The government led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai made effective efforts to strengthen democracy at the grassroots level and resolve issues locally. The administration’s commitment to public welfare was reflected through continuous efforts aimed at serving citizens.
Active Participation of Public Representatives and Administration
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh visited grievance redressal camps and interacted directly with citizens to understand their concerns and challenges. During the camps, he issued necessary instructions to officials to ensure the timely resolution of problems.
The district received several developmental benefits and announcements during the festival. The district administration addressed public grievances with sensitivity and efficiency, while Collector Jitendra Yadav played a key role in accelerating the implementation of Sushasan Tihar. Public representatives and government officials actively participated across both urban and rural areas.
A total of 59 camps were organized across the district under the initiative.
Citizens Receive Benefits and Essential Services
During Sushasan Tihar, many citizens received farmer passbooks, while others obtained learner’s driving licences. Farmers were provided with seeds and agricultural equipment and were encouraged to adopt scientific and modern farming techniques.
A large number of beneficiaries received information about various government schemes and availed themselves of their benefits. At camps organized under the initiative, the Women and Child Development Department encouraged citizens to provide locally available nutritious food to children.
People demonstrated increased awareness regarding the resolution of their grievances. The initiative reflected the government’s commitment to ensuring the implementation of welfare schemes even in remote areas.
Timely and effective disposal of public complaints was undertaken, including cases related to land mutation, partition, and demarcation. Citizens also benefited from the clearance of pending MGNREGA wages, income, caste and residence certificates, electricity-related services, handpump repairs, the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, ration cards, Ayushman Cards, and social security pensions.
Major Development Announcements at Motipur Camp
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh attended a public grievance redressal camp held at Motipur School under the Municipal Corporation of Rajnandgaon.
During the camp, several important infrastructure and public utility projects were announced for Rajnandgaon and surrounding areas. Key announcements included:
- Construction of a new bypass on the Rajnandgaon–Khairagarh Highway (via Gathula) at a cost of ₹200 crore.
- Widening of the Tedesara–Ghumka–Bakal Road (35 km) at a cost of ₹75 crore.
- Development of the Dhangaon–Indamara–Bankal Road at a cost of ₹30 crore.
- Allocation of ₹25 lakh each for development works in Wards 1, 2, 3, and 8.
- Construction of a 15-room Circuit House near Maa Bamleshwari Temple in Dongargarh.
- Allocation of ₹1 crore for a new Janpad Panchayat Rajnandgaon building.
- Announcement of a new sports ground for hockey training.
- Restoration of the responsibility of Ready-to-Eat food production to women self-help groups in the district.
Inauguration of Development Works in Mudpar and Khuteri
Under Sushasan Tihar 2026, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated 115 development works worth ₹4.50 crore in Gram Mudpar of Rajnandgaon block.
He also announced the construction of a two-kilometre road connecting Mudpar village to the Kharkhara River.
At the grievance redressal camp in Gram Panchayat Khuteri, he approved ₹15 lakh for the construction of a CC road and ₹5 lakh for ground leveling work at the Government Middle School.

The Irrigation Department is undertaking the Chando Canal Shivnath Diversion Lining Project at a cost of ₹114.63 crore, which will benefit 34 Gram Panchayats, including 20 within the Rajnandgaon Assembly constituency.
Approval has also been granted for the Mokhla-Jangleshwar Anicut project at a cost of ₹4.69 crore, aimed at preventing soil erosion and promoting water conservation.
A service lane from Somni to Khuteri, estimated at ₹68 crore, is also expected to commence shortly.
Dr. Raman Singh further inaugurated plinth upgradation and modernization works at the District Hospital costing ₹6.42 crore and laid the foundation stone for the Chief Medical and Health Officer’s office building.
Significant Announcements for Dilapahari Region
At a grievance redressal camp held in Gram Dilapahari, Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated 89 development works worth ₹3.77 crore.
He announced the construction of a sub-health centre in the village and allocated ₹1.50 crore from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) fund for toilet construction in various schools.
An announcement was also made to upgrade a 63 KVA transformer to 100 KVA in the Dilapahari area, which is expected to improve voltage stability and electricity supply.
During the camp, approval was granted for the Lamti Feeder Minor Reservoir and Canal Project with an estimated cost of ₹242.77 crore.
The project will provide irrigation facilities across 1,840 hectares in 36 villages, including Sukuldaihan, Bamhani, Dhangaon, Gatapar, Dilapahari, Dharmapur, Dhaba, Bagtarai, Litiya, and several other villages within the Rajnandgaon Assembly constituency.
The project is currently under implementation, with a target of supplying irrigation water to farmers by next year.
Drinking Water Projects Progressing in Rural Areas
The Public Health Engineering Department is implementing the Mongra Multi-Village Water Supply Scheme across 21 villages in 13 Gram Panchayats. The project is progressing steadily, and rural residents are expected to benefit from improved drinking water facilities before the next summer season.
The successful implementation of various welfare schemes and the timely disposal of applications under Sushasan Tihar strengthened public confidence in governance and administration, reflecting the positive impact of the initiative across the district.
