Directs District Administration to Ensure Safety; Praises Police for Swift Action

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh visited village Chaweli on Monday to meet Padma Shri awardee Phoolbasan Yadav, inquiring about her well-being following a recent unfortunate incident and reviewing the security arrangements put in place for her safety.
Assembly Speaker Expresses Concern Over Incident
During the visit, Dr Raman Singh held a detailed discussion with Padma Shri Phoolbasan Yadav and gathered firsthand information regarding the distressing incident that occurred recently. Calling the episode concerning, he stated that timely intervention and alertness of the police ensured her safety and prevented any serious harm.

The Assembly Speaker issued necessary instructions to the District Collector and Superintendent of Police to strengthen security measures and ensure adequate protection for the noted social worker.
Recognition of Social Contribution
While interacting with her, Dr Raman Singh acknowledged the significant contribution of Phoolbasan Yadav in organizing lakhs of women under self-help groups across Chhattisgarh and connecting them with livelihood opportunities. He praised her selfless dedication toward women empowerment and rural economic development.
He assured continued support from the government, stating that the administration stands firmly with individuals working for social welfare and community upliftment. He encouraged her to continue her service with confidence and commitment.
Police Action Appreciated

Dr Raman Singh also commended the police department for its prompt and proactive response after the incident. He noted that swift action by law enforcement authorities played a crucial role in ensuring safety and restoring confidence.
Padma Shri Awardee Expresses Gratitude
Padma Shri Phoolbasan Yadav thanked the Assembly Speaker for personally visiting and extending moral support. She expressed satisfaction over the immediate response by the police department and conveyed appreciation for their timely action.
Reaffirming her commitment, she stated that she would continue working toward the economic and social development of villages and strengthening women’s empowerment initiatives.
The visit was attended by Komal Singh Rajput, Bhavesh Baid, Sumit Upadhyay, Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma, SDM Rajnandgaon Gautam Patil, along with other public representatives, officials, and women associated with self-help groups.
