Advanced Medical Equipment Worth ₹8 Lakh Provided to Government Medical College; Development Works and Financial Assistance Distributed to Beneficiaries

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh undertook multiple welfare and development initiatives in Rajnandgaon district, focusing on strengthening healthcare infrastructure, promoting regional development works, and extending financial assistance to sportspersons and citizens under various government schemes.
Advanced Medical Equipment to Enhance Healthcare Facilities
Under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding, medical equipment worth approximately ₹8 lakh was provided to Government Medical College, Pendri. Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh flagged off a vehicle carrying the advanced medical equipment, marking a significant step toward improving healthcare services for the public.
The newly provided equipment is expected to enhance patient care and hospital efficiency. The facilities include Blood Donor Couch, Portable Blood Donor Chair, RO with 120-litre Water Cooler, Domestic and Commercial RO System (25 litres), Wheelchairs, Stretchers, Crash Cart Trolley, Portable ECG Machine, Emergency Patient Trolley, Hospital Queue Management System, Laboratory Centrifuge, Semi-Automated Biochemistry Analyzer, Coagulometer, and Hot Air Oven.
The initiative aims to ensure better and more accessible healthcare facilities for citizens visiting the Government Medical College.
Present on the occasion were Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, Rajgami Sampada Nyas Chairperson Purnima Sahu, District Panchayat Member Devkumari Sahu, Komal Singh Rajput, Collector Jitendra Yadav, IDBI Bank Branch Manager Mayank Mittal, AGM Bhilai Region Jasmeet Singh Bhatia, DGM Bhilai Anup Vishwakarma, physician Dr Chandrakishore Indauriya, Lead Bank Manager Monish Sharma, along with several public representatives and officials.
Administrative Approval for Kabir Saheb Dwar Development
Later, at his residence office, Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh distributed Chief Minister’s financial assistance cheques to several beneficiaries and granted administrative approvals for developmental works.
Under the Chief Minister’s announcement, administrative approval of ₹40 lakh was granted for the construction of Kabir Saheb Dwar in village Nadia of Dongargaon development block. Additionally, ₹11 lakh was sanctioned as Chief Minister’s financial assistance to Kabir Saheb Math Trust, Nadia, for development works.
These initiatives are aimed at promoting cultural infrastructure and community development in the region.
Financial Assistance to Sportspersons and Beneficiaries
Encouraging sporting talent, Dr Raman Singh presented a ₹5 lakh Chief Minister’s financial assistance cheque to Rajnandgaon’s international weightlifting player Gyaneshwari Yadav to support preparations for participation in international competitions.
Financial assistance was also extended to other beneficiaries. Nomesh Kumar Sahu, Godavari Bai, and Nammulal Sahu of village Alikhunta received ₹30,000 each. Poonam Soni of Kilapara, Rajnandgaon, was provided ₹10,000 for education support, while Santosh Soni received ₹10,000 assistance for medical treatment.
The event was attended by Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, District Panchayat Member Devkumari Sahu, Rajgami Sampada Nyas Chairperson Purnima Sahu, Komal Singh Rajput, Collector Jitendra Yadav, Additional Collector C.L. Markandey, and other public representatives and officials.
Focus on Welfare, Healthcare and Inclusive Development
The combined initiatives highlight the state leadership’s emphasis on strengthening public healthcare infrastructure, supporting cultural and rural development projects, and providing direct financial relief to deserving citizens and emerging talents.
These efforts are expected to contribute significantly toward improving public services and promoting inclusive growth across Rajnandgaon district.
