With the objective of equipping young people with modern technological expertise and making them globally competitive, the Dhamtari district administration has undertaken a forward-looking initiative. Under the guidance of Collector Abinash Mishra, the entrance examination for the Artificial Intelligence Upskilling Course 2026 was successfully conducted.
The innovative programme aims to train local youth in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital skills, thereby opening new avenues of employment and self-reliance.
Strong Enthusiasm Among Youth
The examination was organised at the IT Building of PG College Dhamtari, where students from various educational institutions across the district participated enthusiastically.
A total of 166 candidates appeared for the examination, including 107 students through offline mode and 59 students through online mode. The impressive participation reflects growing awareness and interest among youth toward emerging technologies and digital literacy in the district.

Global-Level Training and Skill Development
Students selected through the examination will receive professional training from the reputed Bengaluru-based institution Learnijoy.
Under this specialised programme, participants will gain practical knowledge in skills currently in high demand across global industries. Selected candidates will be enrolled in an advanced AI Skill Training Programme covering:
- AI Video Generation
- Website Development
- AI Agent Creation
- Automation Tools
- Digital Productivity
- Prompt Engineering
- Development of modern technology solutions
The training will focus on hands-on learning and real-world application of advanced technologies.
Focus on Employment and Entrepreneurship
The core objective of the initiative extends beyond theoretical education. The programme is designed to prepare youth for employment opportunities, internships, freelancing careers, and digital entrepreneurship.
Being completely industry-oriented, the training will enable participants to access both national and international professional opportunities while encouraging innovation-driven careers.
Collector’s Message: Future Belongs to AI and Digital Technology
Collector Abinash Mishra expressed satisfaction over the initiative and stated that the coming era will be dominated by Artificial Intelligence and digital technology. He emphasized that the administration’s priority is to provide world-class skill development opportunities to the youth of Dhamtari at the right time.
According to him, trained youth will not only secure better employment prospects but may also become job creators through startups and technology-based enterprises. He further added that the district administration will continue promoting innovation, startup culture, and technology-driven employment programmes in the future.
Steps Toward Innovation
It is noteworthy that during the earlier Yuva Fest, an AI workshop provided internship opportunities to four students. Inspired by that success, a significantly larger number of students participated in the current entrance examination.
This initiative by the district administration is expected to emerge as a milestone in establishing Dhamtari as a hub of technological innovation while contributing to the broader vision of Digital India.
