Camp organized with support of ALIMCO and Social Welfare Department to provide assistive devices to persons with disabilities.

An assessment camp for providing assistive devices to persons with disabilities was organized at the community hall of Janpad Panchayat Chhuriya in Chhuriya. The camp witnessed participation from more than 100 Divyang persons from remote areas of Rajnandgaon district, who registered to receive necessary assistive devices.
The camp was organized by Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India, Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare. Similar camps are being conducted across all development blocks of the district to assess the needs of persons with disabilities and provide appropriate assistive devices.

Participation from Remote Areas
At the camp held in Chhuriya block, Divyang persons from the farthest parts of the district arrived to register for assistive devices based on their requirements. The initiative aims to identify eligible beneficiaries and provide them with devices such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, walking sticks, and other supportive equipment.
Public Representatives Appreciate the Initiative
Kiran Vaishnav appreciated the initiative and said that organizing such camps ensures stronger participation between government institutions and society.

She encouraged persons with disabilities to take advantage of such camps and register themselves for assistive devices that can improve their mobility and quality of life.
Several other public representatives also addressed the gathering during the camp.
Officials and Representatives Present
Among those present at the event were Sanjay Sinha, Social Welfare Committee Chairperson Bhes Bai Sahu, along with public representatives Biram Ramkumar Mandavi, Rekha Gandharv, Uttara Nishad, Ubheram Mandavi and Chandraprakash Motghare.

Officials including Vaishali Mardwar, senior artist of the Social Welfare Department Bir Singh Sahu, and in-charge superintendent of the Government Special School for Intellectual Disabilities Balakrishna Baghel were also present.
A large number of Divyang persons and local citizens attended the camp and completed registration for the assistive devices.
