Welcoming the state budget presented by the Government of Chhattisgarh led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, BJP Councillor Jainam Baid described it as growth-oriented and forward-looking, with a clear emphasis on governance reforms, infrastructure expansion and technology-driven development.

Speaking to reporters, Baid said the allocation of ₹9,451 crore for the Public Works Department and ₹3,000 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening core infrastructure and improving the quality of basic civic amenities. “These provisions will not only enhance connectivity but also ensure better access to drinking water across urban and rural areas,” he noted.

He further highlighted the ₹200 crore earmarked for the Chief Minister Adarsh Shehar Samriddhi Yojana, stating that the scheme would significantly upgrade roads, sanitation systems and essential civic services in municipalities and nagar panchayats. “This will directly improve urban living standards and create a more structured framework for planned urban growth,” Baid said.

Calling the increased allocation for the education sector “historic,” he emphasized that investments in digital learning and modern educational infrastructure would help build a skilled and future-ready generation. “The focus on technology integration in classrooms is a progressive step towards human capital development,” he added.

According to Baid, the budget’s overarching ‘Sankalp’ vision underlines inclusive growth, enhanced investment climate and the creation of a skilled workforce. He said that an expanded road network and systematic urban planning would generate economic momentum at the local level, boosting trade and employment opportunities.

Concluding his remarks, Baid expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary for presenting what he termed a “people-centric and development-driven budget” aimed at accelerating Chhattisgarh’s long-term progress.
