In a major development, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has filed a chargesheet in court in connection with an alleged ₹400 crore medical services scam in Chhattisgarh, marking a significant step forward in the high-profile investigation.

The case pertains to alleged large-scale irregularities in the procurement and supply of medical equipment, medicines, and related services within the state’s health department. According to investigating agencies, the scam involved manipulation in the tendering process, fake billing, and discrepancies in supply, leading to substantial misuse of public funds.

During the course of the investigation, the Mokshit Corporation Group emerged as a key entity under scrutiny. The group has been accused of colluding with officials in the health department to influence procurement processes and inflate costs of medical equipment purchases. Additionally, an individual identified as “Chopra,” along with several other accused, has been found to have a suspected role in the alleged irregularities.

The probe was conducted in coordination with the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) and other agencies, which collected substantial documentary, financial, and technical evidence over an extended period. Officials stated that the chargesheet has been prepared based on detailed analysis of transaction records, seized documents, and expert reports.
