VHP and Bajrang Dal have demanded the closure of the Gol Bazaar mutton and fish market in Rajnandgaon, citing concerns following the Gauri Nagar incident. The organisations submitted a memorandum to Rajgami Estate officials and warned of a protest if action is not taken within three days.

A severed cow’s head was found in Rajnandgaon’s Gauri Nagar area, prompting a Bajrang Dal protest at Manav Mandir Chowk. The demonstration ended after police, led by DSP Satyaprakash Tiwari, assured protesters of appropriate action.
