“Hundreds of Citizens Receive On-the-Spot Solutions and Welfare Benefits Under Statewide Good Governance Campaign”

In a strong display of proactive governance, Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh took part in a “Samadhan Shivir” (Public Grievance Redressal Camp) organized at the Motipur School Ground under the ongoing Su-Shasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival). The camp catered to residents of Ward Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8 within Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation, providing a platform for direct citizen-government engagement.

Dr. Singh participated in community-oriented programs like Annaprashan ceremonies for infants, Godbharai (baby showers) for expecting mothers, and distribution of hygiene kits. Under the Moor Makan Moor Aas housing scheme, 16 beneficiaries received housing allotments and 21 were handed over house keys. Welfare distributions also included ration cards to 8 individuals, Ayushman cards to 5, and labor cards to 10 workers. Additionally, ₹1 lakh in financial assistance was approved for a female beneficiary to promote self-reliance.
Fisheries department beneficiaries received ice boxes and fishing nets, while the agriculture department distributed Arhar (pigeon pea) mini kits to 3 farmers. Dr. Raman Singh emphasized that Su-Shasan Tihar is a statewide initiative where governance is reaching directly to the people with real-time solutions.

MP Santosh Pandey praised the integrated approach of the government in resolving grievances through camps. He noted that Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is personally attending rural camps, ensuring that even the smallest issues are resolved at the village level. He provided updates on development works underway in the municipal area.
Mayor Madhusudan Yadav added that department officers are actively resolving filed grievances, and highlighted the progress—311 out of 313 applications from the participating wards were resolved on the spot. This reflects the seriousness and efficiency of the Su-Shasan Tihar initiative.
The camp also included free health check-ups for blood pressure, diabetes, and general wellness. Medicines were distributed by the health department based on diagnoses. The Ayurveda stall offered seasonal disease prevention kits to citizens. Multiple departments—including Women & Child Development, Fisheries, Revenue, Agriculture, Public Works, Power, Education, Excise, and Forest—provided real-time updates on grievance redressal.
The event was attended by several prominent figures including Sachin Baghel, Chairman of the District Cooperative Bank, and district officials like Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, SP Mohit Garg, DFO Ayush Jain, Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, and SDM Khem Lal Verma, among others. The camp witnessed strong public turnout, further reinforcing the state government’s commitment to accessible governance.
