Jhulelal Jayanti to Be Celebrated on March 20 with Grand Procession in Rajnandgaon

Sindhi community holds preparatory meeting; three-day pre-celebration events planned, markets to remain closed

The Sindhi community in Rajnandgaon will celebrate the 1076th birth anniversary of Lord Jhulelal with great fervour and devotion on March 20. A major preparatory meeting was held at Sindhu Bhavan in Jhulelal Nagar to finalize arrangements and assign responsibilities for the upcoming celebrations.

Senior members of the Pujya Sindhi Panchayat, including Arjun Das Panjwani, Avtar Ram Tejwani and Brahmanand Bajaj, informed that a grand programme has been planned to mark the occasion. It was unanimously decided during the meeting that all business establishments run by members of the community will remain closed on March 20 as a mark of reverence.

The meeting focused on organizing a series of events leading up to the main celebration. A three-day pre-Jayanti programme will be conducted, with special emphasis on involving youth members of the community in planning and execution. Responsibilities for various activities were distributed to ensure smooth coordination and enthusiastic participation.

Organizers announced that the city would be decorated elaborately, likening the preparations to adorning a bride. A grand and visually captivating procession (Shobha Yatra) will be taken out on the day of the Jayanti, featuring devotional music, cultural displays and participation from community members of all age groups. Several cultural and religious programmes are also scheduled as part of the celebration.

The meeting was conducted by Lokchand Laharwani, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Arjundas Gangwani. A large number of community leaders and members attended the gathering, reflecting the collective spirit and commitment toward making the event a grand success.

Among those present were Arjundas Panjwani, Avtar Ram Tejwani, President Mannu Mal Motlani, Brahmanand Bajaj, Gurmukh Das Wadhwa, Bhiman Dhanwani, Arjun Wadhwani, Asar Jumnani, Roopchand Bhimanani, Bhojraj Bajaj, Harish Motlani, Harish Soni, Kamal Gangwani, Dr. Kartar Singh Kanjwani, Ashok Tejwani, Tekchand Bajaj, Ramesh Gidwani, Rooplal Rajwani, Deepak Chandani, Nitin Batra, Kaushal Sharma, Rajkumar Parchani, Murli Panjwani and Pankaj Jethani, along with many other members of the Sindhi community.

Community representatives have appealed to all devotees and residents to participate in large numbers and contribute to the success of the religious and cultural festivities.
