Following government directives, a 15-day intensive inspection campaign has been launched under the theme “Right Medicine, Pure Food — Foundation of Chhattisgarh.” The drive will be conducted from April 27 to May 11, 2026, to ensure the quality and safety of medicines, food items, and related consumer products across the district.
The campaign is being implemented by the Food and Drug Administration to strengthen regulatory monitoring and promote public health standards.
Inspection of Cosmetic Retail Establishments
On the first day of the campaign, officials conducted intensive inspections at eight cosmetic retail establishments operating within Rajnandgaon city.
During the inspections, authorities examined the quality of products available at the outlets, verified purchase and sale records, and reviewed compliance with prescribed operational norms.
Focus on Quality and Legal Compliance
Officials directed shop operators to ensure that all products are purchased and sold only with valid billing records and proper documentation. Emphasis was placed on maintaining quality standards and adhering strictly to regulatory guidelines.
The inspection teams also advised business owners to prioritize consumer health and safety while conducting commercial operations and to maintain transparency in product sourcing and sales practices.
Consumer Health at the Centre of Campaign
The administration stated that the primary objective of the drive is to safeguard consumers by preventing the sale of substandard or uncertified products. Continuous monitoring and awareness initiatives will be undertaken during the campaign period to promote responsible trade practices.
The Food and Drug Administration will continue inspections throughout the district during the 15-day campaign to ensure strict compliance with safety norms.
