Chandrashekhar Azad, MP from Nagina and leader of the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram), responded with enthusiasm to the recently declared results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024. He extended congratulations to all successful candidates and especially highlighted the achievement of Shakti Dubey, who secured AIR 1, along with two other women featured in the top five.

Azad, posting on social media platform X, stated:

“The success of three women including topper Shakti Dubey in the top 5 is not only a proud moment but also the result of the pioneering efforts of Kranti Jyoti Savitribai Phule, who opened the first school for girls in India. This achievement is a living reflection of the Constitution crafted by the great Dr B.R. Ambedkar, which laid the foundation of an egalitarian nation beyond distinctions of gender, caste, or religion. Jai Bhim. Jai Phule. Jai Constitution. Jai Bharat.”

About Shakti Dubey:
Shakti Dubey, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, cracked the prestigious UPSC exam on her fifth attempt, choosing Political Science and International Relations as her optional subject. Aged 28, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Allahabad University and a Master’s in Science from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Her academic interests also include nanoparticle-based siRNA drug delivery for cancer treatment, and she enjoys writing poetry.

Other Toppers:

  • Rank 2: Harshita Goyal from Haryana, a commerce graduate from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and a qualified Chartered Accountant. She succeeded in her third attempt and volunteers with the NGO Believe Foundation. She also enjoys acrylic painting.
  • Rank 3: Dongre Archit Parag from Maharashtra.

Azad’s tribute resonated with the themes of empowerment, inclusion, and the transformational power of education, echoing the foundational values of India’s democracy.
